Separable - Five Sentence Stories

I remember the time when we were together, inseparable, without a care in the world. We would stay indoors, doing nothing but fool around like a bunch of high-schoolers.
Then it happened.
Someone came by and dragged you away.
And dragged my heart along.

A flash piece for Five Sentence Stories. The theme is Moments.

  1. For some reason I feel this involves your personal life. It involves the day when either your sister, but more likely your brother got married and left to a start a life of their own.

Have I read to far into this, or has it been merely my imagination. A curious mind wants to know.

A Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and your family.

    2. There's no disappointment whatsoever. It's just that it sounded real, and isn't that want you want from your readers when they read the fiction you've written, don't you want your fiction to feel real to your readers,

  4. Your title is perfect for this piece. There is always that lurking fear that someone more desirable will come along, and you really conveyed the hurt here. Excellent writing!
