A missed chance?

"As I was running in the park, on my daily training, I saw this delightful scene that almost made me stop.
There was this couple that was sitting on a bench, and at first glance they seemed like they were arguing, but as I went nearer, they were actually reciting something or playing someone from a play or a script.
The girl was sitting on the bench with her chin placed on her outwards-facing hands and her knees were bent and supporting the hands, while the man was moving in circles trying to overact as much as possible, probably because that's how he thought was best.
She was hardly impressed and trying not to laugh because of his forcefulness way of acting, and said something -which I didn't understand- that startled him, and actually made him act more natural.
That was quite a feat, and made me ponder some things, but as I passed them, I looked over my shoulder and saw that the roles were reversed.
Right now, I'm wondering if I did the right thing by not stopping or if I should've stopped and asked them about their gig -since I'm an actor as well- and if they want new blood; well, whatever, I did a PR on my training anyway, surely a chance like that will come again."
